As promised, the cantaloupe are vine ripe, sweet and ready to be eaten! There are still plenty of tomatoes and peppers. Stop in and pick up some fresh produce.

Still Harvest Time

It is still harvest time at Timmermann House Farmers Market! Last week we had Kilroy the tomato and this week we have a duck and the red peppers are also ready. Cantaloupe and watermelon will soon be ready too!
Hay Cutting

Amazing how fast the days go by and it’s time for the hay to be cut again. This cutting was baled into big square bales that I call big loaves of bread!
End of a great Green Bean Season

Well the end of the green bean season is upon us here at the Farmers Market at Timmermann House. These are the last two 5 gallon buckets to be picked as we pulled out the plants. This year the grand total was 11-5 gallon buckets which equates to 111 pounds! That’s a lot of beans!

What a nice surprise in the mail this week! Served guests Judy & Don some home made ice cream during their stay and commented we were having a hard time keeping fruit from freezing rock hard. They sent us the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream book… Stay tuned as today is the first adventure!

Harvest Time
Today we harvested over two wheel barrows full of onions, white and yellow. Then decided to harvest the carrots. One wheel narrow turned into two 5 gallon buckets just about full. Beans and sweet corn coming soon…
Rain?
Maybe we will get some rain out of these clouds. But it may go south of us..
Chopping Hay
Chopping hay and will be done with this field if just a few hours. Amazing how fast 60 acres can be cleared!
Time to cut hay…
Cutting hay around Timmermann House means two things. Hay gets cut for food for the cows and Babe the super dog turns into super mouser! She didn’t want to move as the tractor was coming by….
